On May 8th durning the staff meeting Gilbert Gladiators from Journalism/Rainbow Gladiators/Thriving Minds/Photo/Yearbook/Music Club 33 1/3 presented their Gilbert story. Diffrent groups promoting what they are about were represented in the Family Center.
Journalism
Represented by Gerardo and Alexie, the Journalism department explained their vital role in keeping the campus informed. As student journalists, their duty is to provide updates on school activities and local news, ensuring the student body stays connected to both the school and the surrounding community.
Rainbow Gladiators
The Rainbow Gladiators spoke about the wonderful support they offer Gilbert High students. The club provides a safe, inclusive environment for students to explore and be open about their sexualities and preferences, encouraging everyone to embrace their true selves.
Photo Club
Led by Mr. Pobst and his period 3 students, the Photo Club is dedicated to capturing and filming historic moments both on and off campus. Operating under the motto “a picture tells a thousand words,” they ensure that the school’s legacy is preserved through high quality visuals.
Yearbook
Mr. Goran’s period 3 class recently released the yearbook, a collection of the year’s most treasured moments. By capturing the “wonders” of the student experience in a single photo, the yearbook staff exposes the heart of the school year.
Music Club (33 1/3)
The 33 1/3 Music Club officially became a part of the Gilbert story this year. They recently had their moment to shine during the ribbon cutting event held before student capstones, marking their place as a staple of campus culture.
