The Anaheim Union High School District is laying off teachers, and notifying them by March 15. This layoff only includes teachers and no other staff in the district. 195 teachers across the AUHSD were notified, but only 110 will actually be laid off.
8 teachers on this campus got the notice. This reduction in force is happening due to the decrease of enrollment of students in the district. They were chosen based on how long they’ve been with the district.
What can we do?
On Thursday, March 7, 2024, there is
going to be a meeting held by the AUHSD with the Board of Trustees at 501 N. Crescent Way, Anaheim, Ca 92801 to finally settle the force in reduction. They will be addressing the number of positions they will be cutting and other information regarding the situation.
