Gilbert High School introduces two new arts assistants, and they are brothers, Joseph and Moses Franco. They grew up in Anaheim, California, and both graduated from Savanna High School, Joseph in 2014, and Moses in 2016.
Their jobs here as arts assistants include working with students in the new music studio and managing the studio projects with students-in-training. The Music Studio project also includes graphic design of music logos and other student visions, production of audio recordings, and a school-wide collaboration on a recorded album of collected original works. The whole school is invited!
Our new music arts assistants will be working under the supervision of Ms. Frese and will also work with her students in the 5th-period music appreciation class.
Because they’re running the new music studio and helping with music appreciation, Joseph and Moses are here to help students explore their musical interests and creativity. When Joseph and Moses were kids, they were always looking for a safe and normal space to play music, and now they’re here at Gilbert hoping to create one for students. This will help students by showing new ways to express themselves, a place where every student can go and be welcomed and never judged, and a place to create and do things freely.
They will be here 3 days of the week, from 10:30 am to 3:30/4:00 after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You can find them either in the music studio (Room 33 1/3 ) or Ms. Frese’s class (Room 12) ~ Please come on by and say, Hi!
