Suicide Prevention Month

Janet Luna Rosales
Claudia Parada is located in the Main Office to answer all your questions.

Suicide Prevention month is a time to share resources and stories, as well as promote suicide prevention awareness.

In order to spread awareness we can do such as different kinds of events, parent work shops and activities during lunch. Doing activities can help the students be aware of the actual meaning about the month of September (SPAM).

There are many kinds of ways to ask or seek help at school. You can talk to your counselor, social worker, any trusted teacher you might have, administrator, nurse, school psychologist or any adult in general. There is also 24/7 nationwide crisis support like~

Call 988 (national suicide & crisis hotline)

Text 741741 (text HELLO to this number) (OC warmline online live chat)

Suicide rates for youth ages of 10-24 increased by 52.2% between 00-21 making it the 2nd leading cause of death. The number of attempts increased as years go by, and many more in LGBTQ+ youths, males and Transgender people.

You can ask to visit Claudia Parada in the main office if you have any questions.
