Second semester Club rush has began. Coming back from Dr. Martin Luther King day students were greeted  with Club Rush. Club Rush is a informative activity that all the clubs at our school hold to inform students about them .We have multiple and choices for people to chose from.

We have ASB a club with Mr. Dechene and students from Gilbert. They come together for third period everyday to help improve the school making it a better and fun environment. They also help come up with school events like prom, movie nights and assembly’s. ASB can help you with social skills, event planning, working with other groups of people, and getting out of your comfort zone.  Sign ups are at lunch by the table that say’s ASB or you can also talk to Mr.Dechene about wanting to join the club in Room 29.

Next is Anime Club. The members get together and share their interests in Japanese TV shows and Movies. Hosted by  Mr. Nakayama and Ms. Buitron in Room 39 at lunch , Anime Club members would go on Tuesdays and Thursdays to watch anime and learn more about  them. This club is up and trending so come and join.

Multicultural Club the club bringing more culture onto Gilbert’s campus and celebrating everyone’s culture. Planning on setting up themes for the campus, and possibly going on field trips. Mr. Bonales is the Advisor of this club, and meetings will be held once a week in Room 14, but the day has yet to be determined. At Katella HS, there was a similar club and Mr. Bonales believed that there needs to be more culture at Gilbert, so he decided to form one here.  Previously the Multicultural club went on a field trip to the Cheech Marian Art museum.

R.S.V.P (Raising Student Voices through Participation) Is a club hosted and, advised by Ms Buitron in which the Gilbert students can raise awareness of social issues, and handle the student discussion regarding school upgrades and working toward making the campus more homelike and upgraded. RSVP club meets every Tuesday for executive meetings in room 19. RSVP exists for those students who feel compelled to speak up and change our school.

Rainbow Gladiators Rainbow Gladiators is an Instructional Communications (I.C.) class here and a club. Rainbow Gladiators is a place to be yourself no matter how you identify. Rainbow Gladiators strive to support and encourage LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, etc.) students and allies on our campus. Our purpose is to create a safe space for everyone; as well as discuss and learn about LGBTQIA+ issues. We meet every Wednesday at lunch. If you want to join the class every Monday and Wednesday people from  outside the school come and plan  things with them.

F.N.L or Friday Night Live is a club where students get together to plan fun events for the school, such as red ribbion week, spirit days and pie throwing. Making the school a fun and relaxed placed. Creating events that make everyone feel included, F.N.L meets every day in room 8. Like A.S.B,  F.N.L is a class that is held during third period.

Music Club is unofficially known as the “unclub” so to keep it quiet, hush hush, and on the down-low, even though everyone knows this club is LOUD. Ms. Frese says, if you love music and are interested in playing musical instruments, you will enjoy the experience of time spent in room 12 during lunch on Mondays, and Thursdays after school to relax and rock out! Music club requires no sign up, feel free to come in and play whenever we meet. We have gear such as drums, amps, and guitars, or you may bring your own. Come join!
