Teamsters for local 952 had notified the Orange County Transportation Authority ( OCTA ) that its maintenance employees have voted unanimously to strike beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, October 17th, 2022.

As some of you have seen on the news, bus drivers here in Orange County are going on strike because they believe their salaries and benefits are insufficient. Jimenez  for the Orange County Transportation Authority said, ” OCTA must address wages, health care costs, the lack of pension increases for well over a decade, and some key non-economic issues.”

As of October 16th an hour before they were going to start their strike they had postponed everything. They had postponed the strike because the union had agreed to return to negotiations.
