This week a message was sent worldwide that left world leaders quiet and shocked. This speech was read by the unlikeliest of people to be seen in the United Nations. It was read by a Swedish 16 year old named Greta Thunberg.

Youthful Greta shocked the world by telling world leaders “You come to young people looking for hope how dare you.” She was also quoted as saying “Young people are starting to understand your betrayal, the eyes off all future generations are upon you.” She said this during the United Nations climate change summit. Where world leaders gathered to discuss the dramatic changes in our climate and the effect it has had on the environment.

This warning has resonated with young people all over the world and of all ages. Hundreds of thousands of people all around the world decided to stage a walkout last Friday in protest of climate change.
