Ms. Janelle Frese, Advisor
Hi, I’m Janelle Frese, journalism class and club advisor. I also teach English III, Music Appreciation, and guide the management of the online school newspaper, The Gladiator Times. This is year 36 for me as an educator. It’s been quite a storied career complete with coaching a CIF championship softball team (1993) and being awarded a TOTY recognition (2014) and leading the amazing “CITYarts 50 States of Peace” Gilbert High School Peace Mural and dedication (2024) among many highlights. I also played women’s professional baseball with Ladies League Baseball (LLB) for two summers (1997-1998) and this was the first professional “league of our own” since the AAGPBL disbanded in the mid 1950’s. I’m a drummer and percussionist. I love hot coffee, good music, spending quality time with my family and pets, and, of course, I love working with the Gladiator family of staff and students at this fine school.
