Seniors have been selected as a potential candidate for the Kiwanis Scholarship, a $1,000 award provided by Kiwanis of Anaheim to support the education and training endeavors of Gilbert graduates. We are pleased to inform you that this year, ten Gilbert graduates will each receive this scholarship.
To qualify for the scholarship, you must graduate in May and plan to attend school or enroll in some form of training in the following year. upon providing proof of your educational or training pursuits, you will receive the scholarship amount of $1,000 in December of 2024. Candidates will be evaluated based on various criteria including attendance, grades, leadership, community service, and the interview process.
The interview will be held after school on Monday, April 22nd. You will get a note this week telling you where to go for the interview, you will be asked to respond to the following four questions:
- What are your plans after high school?
- What steps have you taken to pursue education or training after graduation?
- Why do you believe you should be chosen for the $1000 scholarship?
- How do you envision the $1000 impacting your life?
If you are unable to attend the interview in person, you may alternatively submit a video of yourself answering the four questions. Please send the video to Mr. Glenn at [email protected] by midnight on Monday, April 22nd.
