What is “Holocaust” ? :
The Holocaust was the genocide of European Jews during World War II. Around 1941 and 1945, Nazi Germany and its collaborators murdered over six million Jews across German-occupied Europe, around two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population.
As known Anne Frank and her family were apart of the holocaust. Anne Franks diary that she wrote while living it became a big part of history. Her story is really devastating and it’s touched many hearts.
Gilbert Students were able to go visit the museum and learn more about the holocaust. Karen and I got to speak and ask questions to a survivor through a screen and it was heart breaking to hear her story. One thing she said that hit hard was she was in the prison with her sister and she saw her sister get shot in the head. Now she has a daughter named after her sister.
