Mr. Dechene and the ASB class, and Ms. Resch and FNL would like to say thank you to everyone for your participation in the Great American Smokeout week.
The following remarks from Mr. Dechene sum up the enthusiasm and appreciation for a successful week:
Thank you Howard White, Monse, and OG for helping with and participating in Wednesday’s ping-pong matches in the cafeteria. Fun stuff!!!
In a stunning turn of events today, Team A, dubbed the Panthers, orchestrated a comeback for the ages that draws comparisons to iconic sports moments, such as the 32-point rally by Frank Reich’s Buffalo Bills in the ’92 AFC playoffs and the Red Sox overcoming a 0-3 deficit against the Yankees in the ’04 ALCS.
Leading the charge for the Panthers was Mrs. Guadalupe Serrano, whose inspirational performance revived memories of team unity not seen since the historic Helsinki episode of 1919.
On the individual front, the highlight of the day belonged to Mr. Jose Lara, who set a record time by devouring both peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in a jaw-chomping 3.78 seconds. Today’s events will undoubtedly be etched in the annals of remarkable comebacks and extraordinary feats.
The excitement escalated as participants devoured their way through the relay event, reaching a climax with two ravenous contenders engaging in a fierce battle, each voraciously trying to out-chomp the other
Gratitude is extended to all who indulged, observed, and enthusiastically supported our participants. A hearty congratulations is in order for Team A, fondly known as the Panthers, for their commendable performance in the gastronomic arena.
We conclude this week’s activities with PJ Day, Pancakes, and Thank You Card distribution by ASB who will also be judging the Anti-Tobacco door posters in 3rd period.
