Gilbert High School flag football team had their 3rd game on September 27th at the Wildcat stadium. The Gladiators were competing against the students from Brea Canyon High School. The game went into overtime and ended in a tie with a score of 25-25.
“This was a rematch (from game 1) and we were excited to play on a real varsity football field with a high tech score board. Players came with lots of passion,” said Coach Ortega-Gamez.
Gladiator coaches worked hard to prepare the team for a competitive match. There was a lot of intensity during this game, with clutch moments and key opportunities. Players also got to wear their new football jerseys, which was very special for them.
The next flag football game is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11th and will be held at Lorin Griset Academy.
