Meet the Class of 2022 Graduation Speaker Panel
May 19, 2022
After a fierce writing frenzy and much practice and revision, two speeches and one poem were selected to be presented at this year’s graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 24th at Handel Stadium.
The co-valedictorians are Matthew Lingle and Luis “Fabian” Espinoza who have each written and prepared inspiring messages for their classmates. In addition to the speeches, there will be a poem recited by Juan Agraz. His poem is entitled, “We Deserve to Be Here” and it is also his original work. We congratulate our senior grad speakers and look forward to hearing their words at the ceremony.
Junior staff member Steven Nietes sat down with these three graduating senior speakers to learn more about them and their respective writing processes. Meet the Graduation Speaker panel right here.
Also participating in the ceremony is student ambassador, Mariana Elias, who will be representing the Class of 2022 as the event’s emcee. Andrea Razo will be leading the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Jorge Benitez will reciting the Decorum Statement. Several of the graduation ceremony participants practiced using the microphone today in the MPR in preparation for next week’s excitement.
