Senioritis What Is It!?
April 8, 2022
As the 2022 school years comes to an end, waking up seems harder and ditching class has never been easier. Is it something in the air or maybe even the water you drink? Nope, it is what many would call a bad case of, “Senioritis”. Senioritis is defined as, and I quote, “a supposed affliction of students in their final year of high school or college, characterized by a decline in motivation or performance.” Although it is not a more serious disease like hepatitis or gingivitis, it sure does feel like one to a senior.
Symptoms of this dangerously serious condition would consist of laziness, excessive tardiness, sweatpants every day, and in some rare cases drooling in class. Many people don’t understand why it happens, but it affects a lot of seniors all over the United States. I personally have fallen victim to this infectious disease. The most reasonable response for why this happens has to be that students get stressed out. They get so excited with the thought of graduating, that they want everything to be over with. Whatever the case may be we want everyone to graduate; andto my fellow 2022 graduates, hang in there, you’re so close!
