Gilbert High School Hosts Blood Drive

Lorely Gaytan, Staff Writer

Today Gilbert High School hosted a blood drive in which students donated blood to the City Of Hope. One of my classmates, Steven Nietes, gave blood for the first time. He wanted to know his blood type and experience how it felt. He said, “It felt like a little pressure and sting, but afterwards I didn’t get dizzy.” He also said he would donate again.

Fabian Espinoza also donated to the blood drive today. It was also his first time donating, “I honestly thought it was gonna be way worse, but it happened quick. The Nurses were mad cool.” He said he would probably donate again and that it was a great experience.

If donating blood catches your attention and is something you would want to do talk to Mr.Dechene in room 29 for more information.
