Take Action And Learn About Action Civics!

Fabian Espinoza

Action civics sole purpose is to develop young people’s civic and political competence while strengthening communities through inquiry-based civics programs regarding local community issues. In small groups based on grade levels, teachers help their students learn about their community issues and take action on resolving those same issues. Actions civics truly shows students to be socially aware of their community, and to also do their part in taking care of their environment.

Gilbert is hosting their very own youth in Government. It will take place on Wednesday, February 23 at the Downtown Community Center. You will be learning about how the city of Anaheim works and also discuss important community topics. Students will also participate in a Mock Youth City Council meeting. Everything is free, and breakfast and lunch is included as well.
