During the third period at 11:00 a.m the football players were released early from class to prepare for their upcoming match up. They changed into uniforms and began warm-ups on the field. The energy on the field was already building as classmates and staff gathered to watch the game. By 11:50 both teams were set, and kickoff was moments away.
The game opened with a traditional game toss to determine who goes first. The toss landed in favor of Hare High School giving the opposing team the ball. This means the Homes team Defense was immediately put to the test. Hare High School capitalized on their early advantage and scored the first touch down of the game.
Despite the strong start from the visitors the home team fought back with determination. Both sides traded plays showing equal strength on offense and defense. As the final whistle approached the scoreboard reflected, the intensity of the competition a tied score 14-14 the match up left fans buzzing with many already looking forward to the next game.
Daniel Pacindo and Suri Delagdo were recognized as the team’s most valuable players of the week for their standout performance on the field.
