The Spyder Lab at Gilbert High School is an innovative and technological advanced elective class for students.
The Spy
der Lab is selling 3D designs such as Key chains, Fridge magnets, and sculptures. The class offers students ways to start up their business by helping them customize their selected apparel like shirts and sweaters. The Spider Lab also sells mouse pads, Posters, and stickers.
If you are interested in buying finished products, receiving custom items, or seeing the work they do you can visit Mr. Torres in room 48 near the councilors office or visit their Instagram @ghs_desginlab.
This class started as a club when Mr. Torres taught math. He always thought 3D printing was interesting, fun, and it helped him be creative. Mr. lara came to Mr. Torres with the idea to turn it into a elective class. He believes that it helps students start and grow their business because they have access to big and expensive machines at school to create things for them or others.
If you would like to join this class you can talk to your counselor but just make sure your on track to graduate as it is a 2 period class
