As we the humans push the space boundary to the limits, the missions to the moon and Mars were just the beginning. Around the globe space programs are preparing for the new era for landing and exploring new planets and building lunar habitats and looking for new signs of life. As the galaxy grows bigger everyday there’s still much to explore and still many plans for space,
NASA Artemis program Plans to return humans to the moon and make a livable place after more than 50 years Artemis plans to focus on long term exploration on working on the moon for extended periods of time. NASA and partners from all over the globe want to build a lunar base and test and make technologies for the big mars mission NASA is gonna build a small space station called the gateway which will orbit the moon which will serve stage point for lunar missions. it’ll be a collaboration with NASA, Japan ,China and the ESA (European Space Agency).
Space X wants to do is move humans to Mars in the next two decades which is a huge jump.Mars is the closest habitable planet which makes it a good candidate it has water on it, Also has an atmosphere very thin but its extremely usable. The condition is very promising with it being able to support human life and technology. Mars could serve as a backup for earth just in case something can happen humans can still have somewhere else to live
NASA is also doing a mission on one of Jupiter’s moons Europa to determine if it has the necessities too support human life how they will do it is by determine the thickness of the ice shell and the ocean on subsurface. With also investigating the moons surface and subsurface to understand its chemistry to achieve these objectives they will use ice penetrating radars and magnetometers with these tools they will be able to do at least 50 flybys gathering high resolution data of Europa’s surface and subsurface.
