Anaheim Union High School District has many inclusive and interesting programs that their students can participate in. Including: E-sports!
E-Sports is an online platform for students to play various video games. E-Sport teams participate in tournaments where the winner moves on to the next round.
As a new season of E-Sports begins for the 2024- 2025 school year, the Gilbert High School team has a new director, Mr. Nakayama.
The selected games for competition are Marvel rivals, Overwatch 2, Fortnite, Mario kart, Super smash bros ultimate, Rocket League, and Splatoon 2.
“Gilbert’s Gaming lab is a place where all students can come to unwind. Gaming here can be a solo activity or a very social one, whichever you prefer. We are gearing up to compete against other AUHSD schools and the schools that participate in our Sports Intervention Program,” says Mr. Nakayma.
If you are interested in playing E-Sports go to room 39 at lunch and talk to Mr. Nakayama. All are welcome
