Meet two of our new Arts Assistants. I recently sat down and shared a conversation with Antony Attalla, our new Arts Assistant, who is also Gilbert student alumni. Antony graduated from Gilbert High School in 2021. Here is our Q & A session:
JC: Hi, I’m Joseph and I have a few questions. First, can you tell me your name?
AA: I’m Antony “Tony” Attalla.
JC: What do you do here as an Arts Assistant?
AA: I help out students with their projects and assignments.
JC: I understand you are a student at Cerritos College, and a business major. What is your favorite thing to do?
AA: I like traveling.
JC: What do you like doing in your free time?
AA: I enjoy watching movies and playing video games.
JC: Do you have any siblings?
AA: Yes, I have a little brother and he is 17.
JC: Where are you from?
AA: I was born and raised in Egypt and moved here when I was 9 years old.
JC: What are some of your skills ?
AA: I am very good at speaking and creative writing and also technology.
JC: What are some of your goals as an Arts Assistant?
AA: I hope to be a mentor and support every student speaker and writer, and every student in music and journalism, and to ignite their imaginations.
JC: Why did you choose to work here?
AA: I gradated from here and I want to help out just how my teachers and mentors helped me.
JC: What do you think your role here means?
AA: I like to think I can use my talent to support students and be a positive representative of the Gilbert community.
