Youth are the cornerstone of every community. Teens who are sixteen could make great employees, motivated and ready to work, but they face a huge challenge when seeking employment.
Youth unemployment is a huge thing and it remains a frustration for families who need their teens to contribute to the household. With a new generation of youth wanting to enter the work force. According to the ILO, Youth Unemployment is higher than compared with adults. There are many reasons for youth unemployment such as lack of experience and age barriers.
From a personal experience I’ve enjoyed many interviews that went well, but potential employers all tell Me that I’m too young or still in high school and it doesn’t work out for them. Some jobs often host interviews and cancel it the day of and I’ve got this from various people who had experienced that.
Problems with this are skill degradation this is because in interviews they wont accept you 5 times out of 10 its not a guaranteed chance because lack of experience it can also cause economic impact by hindering the growth of the economy also not having a job can cause laziness and disappointment. That can also lead to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety these can last for a long time and become persistent
