GHS basket ball team take a win over Anaheim ILC. These students dedicated their selves to earn this win they put in all of their heard work in the court and showed the best school spirit and showed them how it’s done. Now students are getting recognition for staying undefeated and working hard for their success.
These students really outdid themselves and they deserve this recognition for their efforts, starting off with Edwen Mariano he earned MVP honors, pitting in all his energy throughout the game and having great defense. Derek Lopez led the charge with an outstanding high 19 points. Justin Dingal added 17 points and showed excellent play making with three assists.
Now Lucio popoca went on and pulled down eight rebounds and collaborated with 3 assists. Manuel Beltran showed outstanding effort with 10 rebounds and two steals, helping to limit Anaheim’s second chance opportunity’s. Jacob Alvarez made his way into the court and chipped in a season high 7 points, including a a crucial bucket late in the second half to maintain the Gladiators lead.
GHS took the win with 46-33 now they will be facing Anaheim ILC once again after coming back from Thanksgiving break and this time around it will be on the road, stay tuned for what GHS will bring and don’t forget to go support the team !
