On Wednesday November 13th, Students at Gilbert High School took a trip to Crystal Cove and got to experience seeing all the life and animals in the ecosystem of the beautiful tide pools located there. The weather was very cool and it was very sunny, when students first arrived they were greeted by a Ranger who guided them into a classroom to go over some of the important rules that would assure we did not harm any of the marine life in the tide pool.
Our next stop was to go eat at Shake Shack, students were mandated to pay for their food but luckily we all were able to get our lunch and eat. After everyone was done ordering and getting their lunch we finally got to go down and step foot on the beach, for about 30-40 minutes the classes were hanging out, and enjoying their time and view at the beach, behind us there was a shed with VR headsets that give a view and feeling that you’re in the ocean.
Finally we were told to group up and started making our way to the cove to explore the marine life, all students went in their own little groups and started to explore. From my experience we saw many great and amazing things from anemones, starfish, crabs, fish, and the overall view of the ocean and scenery we were at. All students had a great time with the class and exploring the beach.
Thank you Mrs. Frese, and Mrs. Maessen for this very fun and memorable field trip!
