On September 11th, 2001, it was a normal day for everyone. People were going to work or school, but at 9:03 am everyone was witnessing the worst terrorist attack to ever happen.
People were there and saw it in person. Others were listening on the radio, and some saw it on live television. The first plane crashed into the building and was collapsing, and shortly after a second plane crashed into the building right next to it. After both the buildings collapsed it ended up killing over 3000 people in New York. Others were killed at the Pentagon when a third plane crashed there, and a fourth plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania killing all passengers aboard.
After hearing people’s stories I’ve heard that people at Gilbert knew some of the people that died that day. Some were in the plane and others were working in the buildings that got hit. And now, at each site, in Washington, New York, and Pennsylvania there are memorials and museum tours so we can honor the people that died on that day.
