Here at Gilbert High School there are plenty of students who have jobs and have to balance going to school, doing homework, and going to work. I know it’s stressful because I am one of them.
We have to wake up early to get to school on time, and right after school we go to work. This requires that we still have to find time to do homework and other responsibilities too. That can be draining because some people have to do that everyday on repeat.
Even after having to worry about all that, some students don’t have rides to get to work. No personal transportation makes it even worse for these students. Some students have to either leave school early or don’t show up at all because of work, so that makes them get behind in credits. Many students get in trouble by teachers or parents, but some students need the money to help support their families.
