As of last year Gilbert has done changes and reinforcements to get students where they need to be. Gilbert spoke to vice chairman Chaffee,
(OCTA), in January 2024, after creating petitions to reschedule bus routes student riders take. The negative impact the regular scheduling for public transportation to and from school the arrival of time changed after a meeting with the Orange Country transportation authority (OCTA) attended a civic engagement forum as a community we did that and made a change, this year there are more changes coming for the students that use transportation.
Welcoming students back to school there will be provided bus lines before and after school. For students all around the district that attend Gilbert, making stops through Western, Anaheim, Katella, Kennedy, Savannah, Sycamore JHS, Magnolia, Cypress and Ponderosa Park. Pickup for students starts at 7:30 AM through 8:20 AM. There has been readjustments to get students to arrive to school on time changes are still to made.
OCTA Youth Ride Free Bus passes for the new school year of 2024-2025 will be provided in the Main Office Wednesday, September 4th.
