Hello Gladiators, this week is pride week. On Monday, we sold pizza and chocolate chip cookies for fundraising. We decorated with flags and posters. We also gave out stickers and posted notes with questions to fill out. Spreading awareness for GSA in schools is very important. Having a safe space at school can make people feel welcomed and important. Feeling cared about is a good feeling. Gilbert is very inclusive. Students and staff here are very accepting of our GSA and LGBTQ+ youth.
Pride means a lot to us here at Gilbert. Having a pride week advocates for GSA. It spreads awareness. Fundraising helps support GSA in many ways. I’m very happy to participate in pride week. I painted the poster for our pride week. I was happy with the outcome of the poster. I worked very hard and dedicated a lot of time. I like to work hard especially for our GSA.
