The Legendary Fall Of a Forest

Everyone at one point has talked about or done a whole presentation on the Amazon rain forest. For those that don’t know, the Amazon is actually a very important place for the earth in general. Over 2.5 million different species of insects live and call the Amazon their home and 20% of earth’s oxygen comes from the Amazon rain forest, which is a significant amount. The Amazon is responsible for 70% of South America’s GDP and influences rainfall patterns as far away as the United States.

Those are just some of the things that the rain forest is known for and why it needs to be protected. If this significant area of earth is harmed, this could cause catastrophic natural disasters that could have been avoided. The majority of the rain forest is an asset to the earth that could improve life if we did not try to deforest it all the time.

Currently, Brazil has accepted more than $1.3 billion dollars in aid from Germany, Norway and other countries in the United Nations, aimed at preventing and stopping the man-made wildfires that are burning the forest. However, Brazil has denied this aid and has done nothing to combat the ever-spreading fires currently destroying the forest. If this issue isn’t resolved, we may be alive to witness the fall of one of the most legendary and gorgeous rain forests on this planet. We will also live to be the eye-witnesses to terrible, catastrophic events around the globe.
